Not A Win, But It’s A Start

Well John Lannan didn’t have his best stuff to start off the season yesterday, and the Marlins made him pay for it. But judging by the sheer number of quality starts he put up for the Nationals last year, I’m hopeful this was an aberration. As I wrote about earlier this spring, it looks like trading away Bonifacio was not a smart move. What a monster first game for him. On the plus side, we managed 8 hits and 6 runs. I read another commenter who pointed out that we won the opening game last year and then had a terrible season. Let’s hope losing the first one this year similarly has no bearing on the rest of the season.
